Age
Students are taught from age 8 upwards. In my experience this is the earliest age at which most students can manage the basics of fretting notes on the guitar and maintain concentration for an hour.

Fees

Lessons are charged at the competitive rate of £20/hr. (Current MU rate is £25.40 an hour.)
Consecutive lessons after the first are block booked in courses of 10 (£200 per course), paid in advance.
Home teaching. Lessons may be taught at the student's home on special request. The base rate for this service is £35/hr. A surcharge may be applied to cover travel costs. Please telephone to make arrangements.

All tablature and other written practice and reference materials are provided free of charge.

Times
Lessons may be booked on the hour, beginning 10am - 8pm, Monday - Saturday.

Cancellations

Cancellations or rescheduling of lessons must be by telephone.
Any cancellation (including that made due to illness) within 48hrs of the lesson will result in the lesson being forfeit unless it can be rebooked for another time during the same week (Mon-Sat period). This is to allow time to offer the slot to another student.
Please note that a student who fails to appear for his/her lesson without notice for any reason will have their lesson forfeit.

Punctuality
All students (or parents and guardians providing lifts to students) are requested to be as punctual as possible as each lesson will finish at the scheduled time. In the event of early arrival you may be expected to wait.
